Fore/Aft Adjustment

  1. Remove the front fender sound insulator. Refer to FENDER SOUND INSULATOR REPLACEMENT - FRONT .

    Important:  Do not completely remove the hinge to body bolts.

  2. Loosen the body to hinge bolts (1).

    Important:  Do not remove the cone adjuster bolt.

  3. Loosen the hinge to body cone adjuster bolt (3).

    Important:  Do not remove the hinge to body TORX® bolt (2).

  4. Loosen the hinge to body TORX® bolt.
  5. Adjust the door fore and aft as required.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .

  6. Tighten the hinge to body TORX® bolt (2).

    Tighten 

    Tighten the TORX® bolt to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  7. Tighten the hinge to body cone adjuster bolt (3).

    Tighten 

    Tighten the bolt to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  8. Tighten the hinge to body bolts (1).

    Tighten 

    Tighten the bolts to 33 N.m (24 lb ft).

  9. Install the front fender sound insulator. Refer to FENDER SOUND INSULATOR REPLACEMENT - FRONT .
