Installation Procedure

  1. Recode the ignition switch lock cylinder, if necessary. .
  2. Insert the key and turn the ignition switch lock cylinder to the ON position.
  3. Align the ignition switch lock cylinder to the ignition switch, then press into place.
  4. Turn the key to the OFF position and remove the key.
  5. Install the radio. Refer to RADIO REPLACEMENT .
  6. Align the ignition switch bezel slots to the tabs on the ignition switch lock cylinder and press into place until fully seated.
  7. Connect negative battery cable. Refer to BATTERY NEGATIVE CABLE DISCONNECT/CONNECT PROCEDURE .
  8. Perform the BCM theft deterrent relearn procedure, if the ignition switch lock cylinder was replaced. Refer to BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM) PROGRAMMING/RPO CONFIGURATION .
