Removal Procedure

  1. Verify that the multifunction turn signal lever is in the center of the OFF position.
    CAUTION: Refer to BATTERY DISCONNECT CAUTION
  2. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to BATTERY NEGATIVE CABLE DISCONNECT/CONNECT PROCEDURE in Engine Electrical.
  3. Disable the SIR Refer to DISABLING SYSTEM in SIR.
  4. Remove the inflatable restraint steering wheel module. Refer to AIR BAG MODULES in SIR.
  5. Remove the steering wheel. Refer to Steering Wheel Replacement 
  6. Remove the upper and lower steering column trim covers. Refer to Steering Column Trim Covers Replacement - On Vehicle 
  7. Remove the wire harness straps (1) from the wire harness assembly (2).
  8. Remove the wire harness assembly (1) from the wire harness strap (2).

  9. Remove the 2 multifunction turn signal switch screws (1).

Remove the multifunction turn signal switch assembly (2).
