Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the fuel injector sight shield. Refer to FUEL INJECTOR SIGHT SHIELD REPLACEMENT in Engine Mechanical - 3.5L.
  2. Remove the air cleaner intake duct. Refer toAIR CLEANER INTAKE DUCT
  3. Remove the accelerator controls cable bracket.
  4. Partially drain the cooling system. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System .
  5. Remove the throttle body heater outlet hose clamp (2) from the surge tank inlet hose pipe (3).
  6. Remove the throttle body heater outlet hose (1) from the surge tank inlet hose pipe (3).

  7. Remove the throttle body heater clamp from the throttle body.
  8. Remove the throttle body heater outlet hose from the throttle body.
