Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the fuel injector sight shield. Refer to FUEL INJECTOR SIGHT SHIELD REPLACEMENT in Engine Mechanical - 3.5L.
  2. Remove the air cleaner intake duct. Refer toAIR CLEANER INTAKE DUCT
  3. Remove the accelerator controls cable bracket.
  4. Partially drain the cooling system. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System .

  5. Remove the throttle body heater inlet hose clamp from the water crossover.
  6. Remove the throttle body heater inlet hose from the water crossover.
  7. Remove the throttle body heater inlet hose clamp from the throttle body.
  8. Remove the throttle body heater inlet hose from the throttle body.
