Removal Procedure

  1. Drain the engine coolant from the cooling system. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System .
  2. Remove the radiator drain cock and seal by aligning the pin on the drain plug to the notch on the radiator and pulling straight out. The seal usually comes out attached to the plug.
  3. Clean the drain and the drain cock.
  4. Inspect the drain and the drain cock. Repair or replace as necessary.
