Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Oldsmobile Intrigue, 2001 Oldsmobile Intrigue, and 2000 Oldsmobile Intrigue. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Install the cooling fan blades.
NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
Install the cooling fan blade nuts.
Tighten

Tighten the nuts to 6 N.m (53 lb in).

Connect the cooling fan heat shield.

Connect the cooling fan wiring harness to each cooling fan motor.

Install the cooling fan shroud with the electric cooling fan motors and cooling fans.
Install the LH radiator bracket.
Install the LH radiator bracket bolt.
Tighten

Tighten the bolt to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
Connect the cooling fan shroud bolts.
Tighten

Tighten the bolts to 6 N.m (53 lb in).
Install the air cleaner assembly.
Install the wiring harness at the upper radiator support.

Connect the cooling fan wiring harness to the engine wiring harness.
Install the engine mount strut bracket to the upper radiator support.
Connect the battery ground (negative) cable. Refer to BATTERY NEGATIVE CABLE DISCONNECT/CONNECT PROCEDURE in Engine Electrical.
