Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Oldsmobile Intrigue, 2001 Oldsmobile Intrigue, and 2000 Oldsmobile Intrigue. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Important:  Align the threaded hole in the engine block with the hole labeled L (2) on the left coolant heater.

  1. Install the left coolant heater.

    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
  2. Install the left coolant heater bolt.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the bolt to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

    NOTE: The heater cord must not touch the engine, hot pipes, manifold, or any moving parts. Route the cord to the left front of the engine compartment securing with tie straps as necessary to prevent damage.
  3. Connect the left coolant heater electrical connector (4).
  4. Lower the vehicle.
