Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) Indicator

PCM illuminates MIL (SERVICE VEHICLE SOON or CHECK engine) when following occurs:

• PCM detects a malfunction in emissions system.
• PCM performs displays test at start of each ignition cycle. Indicator illuminates for approximately 3 seconds when ignition switch is in RUN position.
