Fasten Safety Belt Indicator

Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) illuminates fasten safety belt indicator when following occurs:

• IPC receives a class 2 message from SDM requesting illumination when inflatable restraint Sensing and Diagnostic Module (SDM) detects that driver's seat belt is unbuckled. IPC illuminates indicator for 20 seconds and flashes indicator for 55 seconds. IPC also sends a class 2 message to radio in order to activate audible warning.
• IPC performs displays test at start of each ignition cycle. Indicator illuminates for approximately 3 seconds.
• IPC detects a loss of class 2 communications with SDM.
