Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Pontiac Sunfire and 2003 Chevrolet Cavalier. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the drive belt tensioner. See Figure.

    Important:  In order to obtain the proper torque when using any torque wrench adapter you must use the following formula: Pre-set Torque=Torque Wrench Length x Torque Desired divided by Torque Wrench Length + Extension Length.

  2. Install the drive belt tensioner bolt.

    Use a J 45025 Torque Wrench Adapter  to tighten the drive belt tensioner bolt.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the drive belt tensioner bolt to 45 N.m (33 lb ft).

  3. Install the drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement .
