Removal & Installation (Cavalier)

  1. Before proceeding, see AIR BAG SAFETY PRECAUTIONS . Disable air bag system. See DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM .
  2. Remove IPC trim plate. Remove screws from top of instrument cluster. Remove instrument cluster by pulling rearward. Disconnect electrical connector from IPC. Remove IPC.
  3. To install, reverse removal procedure. Ensure IPC line up tabs are aligned with instrument panel. Tighten IPC mounting screws to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Activate air bag system.
