Diagnostic Procedure

  1. Install scan tool to Data Link Connector (DLC), located under left side of instrument panel. Turn ignition on. Using scan tool, retrieve DTC's. If DTC B1000 is retrieved as a current code, replace and reprogram BCM. Go to next step. If DTC B1000 is not retrieved as a current code, go to DIAGNOSTIC AIDS .
  2. Using scan tool, clear DTC's. Road test vehicle, then check for DTC's. If DTC B1000 is retrieved by scan tool, go to step  1. If DTC B1000 is not retrieved, system is normal.
