Removal Procedure

- Disable the SIR system, if equipped with Side Impact Air Bags (SIAB). Refer to DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM and to DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM in SIR.
- Remove the front seats. Refer to SEAT REPLACEMENT in Seats.
- Remove the rear seat cushion. Refer to SEAT CUSHION REPLACEMENT - REAR in Seats.
- Remove the front seat belt anchor bolts form the floor pan.
- Remove the seat belt anchor plate from the floor pan.
- Remove the floor console. Refer to CONSOLE REPLACEMENT - FRONT FLOOR in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.
- On the coupe, remove the rear quarter trim panel. Refer to TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - REAR QUARTER .
- On the sedan, remove the lower rear quarter trim panel. Refer to TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - REAR QUARTER LOWER .
- Remove the floor carpet retainers. Refer to CARPET RETAINER REPLACEMENT (SEDAN) or CARPET RETAINER REPLACEMENT (COUPE) .
- Remove the floor carpet.
