Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Pontiac Sunfire and 2003 Chevrolet Cavalier. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Remove the front bucket seat. Refer to SEAT REPLACEMENT  .
  2. Remove the seat back cover and pad. Refer to SEAT BACK COVER REPLACEMENT - FRONT (WITH AJ7)  or SEAT BACK COVER REPLACEMENT - FRONT (WITHOUT AJ7)  .
  3. Remove the head restraint guides (4) from the seat back frame (11).
  4. Remove the recliner bolts (6) from the seat back frame (11).
  5. Remove the pivot bolt (10) from the seat back frame (11)
  6. Remove the seat back frame (11) from the recliner (8).
