Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Pontiac Sunfire and 2003 Chevrolet Cavalier. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Place the door window to the down position.
  2. Remove the door trim panel. Refer to TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - SIDE REAR DOOR (PONTIAC)  or TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - SIDE REAR DOOR (CHEVROLET)  .
  3. Remove enough of the door water deflector in order to access the door window to regulator nuts. Refer to WATER DEFLECTOR REPLACEMENT - REAR DOOR  .
  4. Remove the nuts which retain the front door window to the window regulator.
  5. Remove the door window frame applique. Refer to DOOR FRAME APPLIQUE REPLACEMENT  .
  6. Remove the rear side door window (1) from the door.
  7. Remove the sash rivet (1) from the sash.
  8. Remove the sash (2) from the window.
