Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Pontiac Sunfire and 2003 Chevrolet Cavalier. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  2. Remove the front fascia. Refer to FASCIA REPLACEMENT - FRONT BUMPER (CHEVROLET)  or FASCIA REPLACEMENT - FRONT BUMPER (PONTIAC)  .
  3. Disconnect the wiring harness and components from the font impact beam.
  4. Remove the nuts from the front bumper impact bar.
  5. Remove the front bumper impact bar.
