Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Pontiac Sunfire and 2003 Chevrolet Cavalier. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Position the front bumper fascia on the vehicle.

    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
  2. Accessing through the headlamp opening, install the bolts that attach the fascia to the fender.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the bolts to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

  3. Connect the fog lamp electrical connectors, if equipped.

  4. Install the fasteners that attach the fascia brackets to the bumper beam.

  5. Install the headlamps. Refer to HEADLAMP ASSEMBLY OR HEADLAMP BULB AND/OR CORNERING, SIDEMARKER, PARK, TURN SIGNAL BULB REPLACEMENT (CHEVROLET) in Lighting Systems.
  6. Install the grille and the park/turn signal turn lamp assembly. Refer to GRILLE REPLACEMENT (PONTIAC) in Exterior Trim and to PARK/TURN SIGNAL LAMP REPLACEMENT (PONTIAC) in Lighting Systems.

  7. Install the hood latch close out panel. Refer to HOOD CLOSE OUT FILLER REPLACEMENT in Body Front End.
  8. Install the front fender liner to the front fascia.
