Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Pontiac Sunfire and 2003 Chevrolet Cavalier. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Remove the instrument panel (I/P) accessory trim plate. Refer to TRIM PLATE REPLACEMENT - INSTRUMENT PANEL (I/P) ACCESSORY (CHEVROLET) or TRIM PLATE REPLACEMENT - INSTRUMENT PANEL (I/P) ACCESSORY (PONTIAC) in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
  2. Remove the screws (2) from the radio (3).
  3. Remove the radio (3) from the I/P carrier (6).
  4. Disconnect the antenna coaxial cable (1).
  5. Disconnect the electrical connections (4).
  6. Disconnect the digital receivers electrical connector (5), if equipped.
  7. Remove the radio (3).
