Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Pontiac Sunfire and 2003 Chevrolet Cavalier. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Position the wiper motor to the wiper drive system module.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
  2. Install the wiper motor screws.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the screws to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

    IMPORTANT: The motor crank arm pivot is a greased joint to the wiper transmission.
  3. Using J 39529, connect the wiper transmission arms to the wiper motor crank arm.

  4. Position the wiper drive system module to the vehicle.
  5. Install the wiper drive system module screws.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the screws to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  6. Connect the wiper motor electrical connector.
  7. Install the air inlet grille panel. Refer to AIR INLET GRILLE PANEL REPLACEMENT in Body Front End.
  8. Inspect the wipers for proper operation.
