Installation Procedure

  1. Install the ignition lock actuator assembly (4).
  2. Install the lock bolt assembly (3).
  3. Install the lock bolt support bracket (2).
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
  4. Install the 2 tapping screws (1).

    Tighten 

    Tighten the screws to 1.5 N.m (13 lb in).

  5. Install the steering column tilt head housing. Refer to STEERING COLUMN TILT HEAD HOUSING REPLACEMENT  .
  6. Install the lock cylinder. Refer to IGNITION LOCK CYLINDER REPLACEMENT (WITHOUT KEY)  or IGNITION LOCK CYLINDER REPLACEMENT (WITH KEY)  .
  7. Enable the SIR system. Refer to DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM in SIR.
