Installation (2.2L - L61 - Aluminum Engine)

  1. Install the starter. See Figure .
  2. Install the starter bolts. Tighten the starter bolts to 30 Ft. Lbs. (40 N.m).
  3. Connect the electrical connectors to the starter. See Figure . Tighten the battery terminal nut to 13 Ft. Lbs. (17 N.m).
  4. Connect the S terminal connector to the starter. Tighten the battery terminal nut to 27 INCH Lbs. (3 N.m).
  5. Lower the vehicle.
  6. Connect the negative battery cable.
