Park Brake Cable (Left Rear): Removal

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Remove the cable from the equalizer. See Figure. Remove the cable from the axle bracket.
  2. Remove the tire and wheel assembly. Remove the brake drum. Insert a screwdriver between the brake shoe and the lower part of the rear park brake lever.
  3. Remove the cable eyelet fitting from the rear park brake lever. Remove the conduit fitting from the backing plate while depressing the retaining tabs.
