Master Cylinder: Installation

Install the master cylinder to the booster. Install the master cylinder mounting nuts. Tighten the master cylinder mounting nuts to 20 ft lbs. (27 N.m). Remove the plugs from brake pipes. Connect the brake pipes to the master cylinder. Tighten the brake pipe tube nuts to 17 ft lbs. (23 N.m). Connect the electrical connector to the Brake Fluid Level sensor. Fill the master cylinder to the proper level with clean Brake fluid. See MASTER CYLINDER RESERVOIR FILLING  under ADJUSTMENTS & INSPECTION. Bleed the hydraulic brake system. See BLEEDING .
