Steering Column Tilt Head Housing - Assemble (Off Vehicle): Assembly

  1. Install the inner race (5).
  2. Install the upper bearing inner race seat (4).
  3. Install the upper bearing spring (3).
  4. Lubricate the turn signal cancel cam assembly (2) with lithium grease.
  5. Install the turn signal cancel cam assembly (2).
  6. Install the shaft lock (1).
  7. Install the new bearing retainer using J 23653-SIR  and J 42137  .
  8. Install the inflatable restraint steering wheel module coil. Refer to Inflatable Restraint Steering Wheel Module Coil - Disassemble (Off Vehicle) .
  9. Enable the inflatable restraint steering wheel module. Refer to DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM .
