Lock Housing Assembly - Disassemble (Off Vehicle)

  1. Disable the inflatable restraint steering wheel module. Refer to DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM .
  2. Remove the lock cylinder. Refer to Ignition Lock Cylinder Replacement - On Vehicle (Without Key)  Or Ignition Lock Cylinder Replacement - On Vehicle (With Key)  .

  3. Remove the steering column tilt head housing. Refer to Steering Column Tilt Head Housing - Disassemble (Off Vehicle) .
  4. Remove the 2 tapping screws (1).
  5. Remove the lock bolt support bracket (2).
  6. Remove the lock bolt assembly (3).
  7. Remove the ignition lock actuator assembly (4).
