Ignition Switch Assembly - Assemble (Off Vehicle): Assembly

  1. Install the ignition switch assembly.
  2. Install the 2 tapping screws. Tighten the screws to 1.5 N.m (13 lb in).

  3. Remove the steering column and J 41352  from the vise.
  4. Install the steering column. Refer to Steering Column Replacement .
  5. If necessary, install the multifunction switch. Refer to Multifunction, Turn Signal & Hazard Switch Replacement - On Vehicle .
  6. Install the tilt lever. Refer to Tilt Lever Replacement - On Vehicle .
  7. Install the steering wheel. Refer to Steering Wheel Replacement .
  8. Enable the inflatable restraint steering wheel module. Refer to DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM .
