Removal Procedure

- Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Allow the front suspension to hang free.
- Remove the front tire and wheel assemblies.
- Remove the lower pinch bolt from the intermediate shaft.
- Remove the stabilizer shaft links (6). Refer to STABILIZER SHAFT LINK REPLACEMENT .
- Support the front suspension crossmember with a suitable jackstand.
- Remove the rear mounting bolts from the front suspension crossmember.
- Remove the center mounting bolts from the front suspension crossmember.
- Remove the front mounting bolts from the front suspension crossmember.
- Lower the front suspension crossmember approximately 15 cm (6 in) by adjusting the jack stands down.
- Remove the stabilizer shaft insulator brackets (2) retaining bolts (1).
- Remove the stabilizer shaft (3) from the vehicle.
