Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2004 Pontiac Sunfire and 2004 Chevrolet Cavalier. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Lubricate the inside diameter of the bearing with GM P/N 12345777, or equivalent.
  2. Install the following components to the transmission:
    • The clutch actuator cylinder
    • The bolts

  3. Install the upper line release bolt.

  4. Install the transmission. Refer to Transmission Replacement in Manual Transmission - M86/M94 Getrag.
  5. Connect the clutch actuator cylinder line.

  6. Bleed the hydraulic system. Refer to Hydraulic Clutch Bleeding .
