Short Trip/City Maintenance Definition

Follow the Short Trip/City Maintenance Schedule if any one of these conditions is true for the vehicle:
- Most trips are less than 8 to 16 km (5 to 10 mi). This is particularly important when outside temperatures are below freezing.
- Most trips include extensive idling such as frequent driving in stop-and-go traffic.
- Most trips are through dusty areas.
- The vehicle frequently tows a trailer or uses a carrier on top of the vehicle.
- If the vehicle is used for delivery service, police, taxi or other commercial application.
