Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2004 Pontiac Sunfire and 2004 Chevrolet Cavalier. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Transfer the mount bracket to the new mount.
  2. Position the mount and start the bolts into the threads.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Tighten the mount bolts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 66 N.m (41 lb ft).

  4. Install the mount expansion bolt.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolt to 55 N.m (41 lb ft).

  5. Remove the jackstand and the wood block.

  6. Install the left fender liner. Refer to Front Fender Liner Replacement in Body Front End.
  7. Install the left tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Tires and Wheels.
  8. Lower the vehicle.
