Installation Procedure

NOTE: When removing or installing the backup lamp switch, do not use an open end wrench. Use only a socket in order to avoid damage to the switch assembly.

NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.

Install the backup light switch. using pipe sealant GM P/N 1052080 or equivalent.
Tighten: Tighten the switch to 33 N.m (24 lb ft).

Connect the backup lamp connector.
