Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2004 Pontiac Sunfire and 2004 Chevrolet Cavalier. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Position the air distribution duct through the dash braces.
  2. Move the duct until the lock tabs lock in position.
  3. Install the air distribution duct and connect to the right side duct.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
  4. Install the air distribution duct screws.

    Tighten:  Tighten the screws to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

  5. Install the I/P trim pad. Refer to Trim Pad Replacement - Instrument Panel (I/P) (Chevrolet) or Trim Pad Replacement - Instrument Panel (I/P) (Pontiac) in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
