Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the transmission. Refer to Transmission Replacement in Manual Transmission-M86/M94 Getrag or Transmission Replacement in Automatic Transaxle - 4T40-E/4T45-E.
  2. Remove the flywheel.
    IMPORTANT: Make sure not to damage the outside diameter of the crankshaft or chamber with any tool.

  3. Pry the crankshaft rear oil seal with a flat bladed tool.
