Removal Procedure

  1. Raise the vehicle on a hoist. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  2. Remove the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Tires and Wheels.
  3. Remove the hub and bearing assembly. Refer to Wheel Bearing/Hub Replacement - Front .
  4. Remove the wheel stud (1) from the hub and bearing assembly (2) using the J 43631  .

  5. Discard the stud.
