Installation Procedure

  1. Position the impact bar to the rear end structure.
    2. NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.

  2. Install the impact bar retaining nuts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the nuts to 30 N.m (22 lb ft).

  3. Install the energy absorber. Refer to Energy Absorber Replacement - Rear .
  4. Install the rear bumper fascia. Refer to Fascia Replacement - Rear Bumper (Chevrolet)  or Fascia Replacement - Rear Bumper (Pontiac) .
