Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement .
  2. Remove the battery. Refer to Battery Replacement in Engine Electrical.
  3. Remove the underhood electrical center push-in retainer (3) and reposition.

  4. Remove the clutch pedal reservoir, if equipped.
  5. Lift the front of the air cleaner mounting bracket (1) to disengage it from the air inlet duct (3).

  6. Slide the air cleaner mounting bracket forward to disengage the rear rubber mount (2).
  7. Remove the air cleaner mounting bracket (1).
