Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2004 Pontiac Sunfire and 2004 Chevrolet Cavalier. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Position the air cleaner mounting bracket (1) to the vehicle.
  2. Push the air cleaner mounting bracket to the rear to engage the rubber mount.
  3. Place the front of the mounting bracket into the air duct (3).

  4. Install the clutch pedal reservoir, if equipped.
  5. Install the battery. Refer to Battery Replacement in Engine Electrical.
  6. Install the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement in Engine Controls- 2.2L.
