Seat - Manual Adjuster Does Not Lock

The Adjuster Does Not Lock

Condition Action
The locking wire is too tight. Loosen the locking wire tension in order to provide full engagement of the lock bar in the locking slots of the adjuster lower channel.
The adjuster lock bar spring is disconnected or broken.
  • Connect the spring.
  • Install a new spring.
The adjuster lock bar sticks or binds.
  • Lubricate the lock bar pivot.
  • If the bar binds, eliminate the cause of binding or replace the adjuster.
