Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2004 Pontiac Sunfire and 2004 Chevrolet Cavalier. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the high mount stop lamp. Refer to High Mounted Stop Lamp Replacement (Rear Window Panel Mounted) or High Mounted Stop Lamp Replacement (Pontiac Rear Spoiler) or High Mounted Stop Lamp Replacement (Chevrolet Rear Spoiler) in Lighting.
  2. Position the rear compartment lid spoiler (1) on the rear compartment lid.

  3. Pull gently on the spoiler wire harness in order to seat the grommet.
  4. Connect the wire harness connector (1) to the rear compartment lid spoiler.

    5. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  5. Install the nuts (3) to the rear compartment lid spoiler.

    Tighten:  Tighten the rear compartment lid spoiler nuts to 5 N.m (44 lb in).

  6. Install the rear compartment lid spoiler bolts (4).

    Tighten:  Tighten the rear compartment lid spoiler bolts to 5 N.m (44 lb in).

  7. Install the retaining nut access plugs.
