Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2004 Pontiac Sunfire and 2004 Chevrolet Cavalier. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the lower column trim cover (3) to the steering column.
  2. Install the upper column trim cover (1) to the steering column (6).
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Install the retaining screws (4) to the lower steering column trim cover (3).

    Tighten:  Tighten the screws to 4 N.m (36 lb in).

  4. Install the tilt lever, if applicable. Refer to Tilt Lever Replacement .
