Removal & Installation (Sunfire)

  1. Remove the I/P carrier. See appropriate INSTRUMENT PANELS article in ACCESSORIES & EQUIPMENT. Disconnect the temperature control cable from the temperature door lever. See Figure. Remove the cable clip retaining screw. Remove the HVAC control assembly.
  2. Remove the cable cover. Remove the cable clip from the HVAC control assembly. See Figure. Remove the temperature control cable.
  3. To assemble, install the temperature control cable to the HVAC control assembly. Lock the cable clip to the HVAC control assembly. Install the cable cover.
  4. Install the HVAC control assembly. Install the cable to the temperature door lever. Install the cable clip and screw to the HVAC module assembly. Install the I/P carrier. See appropriate INSTRUMENT PANELS article in ACCESSORIES & EQUIPMENT.
