Removal & Installation (Sunfire)

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Pontiac Sunfire and 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Remove the I/P trim plate. See Fig 1. Remove the HVAC control assembly retaining screws.
  2. Pull the HVAC control assembly away from the I/P. Disconnect the electrical connections. Disconnect the vacuum hoses. See Fig 2. Disconnect the temperature control cable.
  3. To install, connect the electrical connections. Connect the temperature control cable. Connect the vacuum hoses. Install the HVAC control assembly to the I/P.
  4. Install the HVAC control assembly retaining screws. Install the I/P trim plate.
