Removal & Installation: Condenser: Removal

  1. Recover the refrigerant. See RECOVERY, EVACUATION & RECHARGING in GENERAL SERVICING PROCEDURES article in GENERAL SERVICING. Remove the hood latch support. Remove the nut holding the compressor hose assembly to the condenser.
  2. Remove the compressor hose assembly from the condenser. Remove and discard the O-ring seal. Remove the evaporator tube from the condenser.
  3. Remove the radiator air upper seal from the radiator. Remove the condenser to radiator bolts. Lift the condenser tabs from the clips on the radiator. See Figure.
