Removal & Installation: Accumulator: Removal

  1. Recover the refrigerant. See RECOVERY, EVACUATION & RECHARGING in GENERAL SERVICING PROCEDURES article in GENERAL SERVICING. Reposition the cruise control bracket, with module, if equipped. Remove the 2 nuts holding the bracket for the PCM module.
  2. Position the bracket and module out of the way. Remove the refrigerant tubes from the accumulator. Discard the O-ring seals. See Fig 1. Remove the accumulator bracket. Remove the accumulator from the vehicle.
