Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2004 Pontiac Sunfire and 2004 Chevrolet Cavalier. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Ensure that the window is fully closed.
  2. Remove the door trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Side Rear Door (Chevrolet)  or Trim Panel Replacement - Side Rear Door (Pontiac) .
  3. Remove the water deflector. Refer to Water Deflector Replacement - Rear Door .
  4. Remove the window regulator. Refer to Window Regulator Replacement - Rear Door (Power Regulator)  or Window Regulator Replacement - Rear Door (Manual Regulator) .
  5. Lower the window to the bottom of the door.
  6. Remove the lower bolt (2).

  7. Lift the channel to disconnect the upper fastener.
  8. Remove the front window channel (1) from the door.
