Removal Procedure

Important: Use the J 24319-B in order to separate all the tie rod ends.
- Remove the front tire and wheel. Refer to TIRE & WHEEL REMOVAL & INSTALLATION .
- Remove the nut (5) from the outer tie rod ball stud (4).
- Loosen the jam nut (2).
- Use the J 24319-B in order to remove the outer tie rod ball stud from the steering knuckle.
- Remove the tie rod end (4) from the shaft (1).
- Inspect the inner tie rod shaft (1) for bending or damaged threads.
- Clean the tapered surface of the steering knuckle (6).
