Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Pontiac Sunfire and 2003 Chevrolet Cavalier. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the hub and bearing assembly (1) into the steering knuckle (2) and drive axle shaft.

    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .

  2. Install the hub bearing mounting bolts (1). Tighten the bolts to 95 N.m (70 lb ft).
  3. Install the drive axle shaft nut. Tighten the drive axle shaft nut to 200 N.m (147 lb ft).
  4. Install the brake rotor. Refer to BRAKE ROTOR .
  5. Install the tire and wheel assemblies Refer to TIRE AND WHEEL REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  6. Inspect the front wheel alignment. Refer to MEASURING WHEEL ALIGNMENT .
