Removal Procedure

  1. Raise vehicle.
  2. Drain the engine oil.
  3. Drain cooling system.
  4. Remove the flywheel inspection shield.
  5. Remove the right front wheel and tire assembly.
  6. Remove the right engine splash shield.
  7. Remove the drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement .
  8. Remove the A/C compressor lower bolts.
  9. Remove the transmission to the engine brace.

  10. Remove the engine mount strut bracket. Refer to Engine Mount Strut Bracket Replacement .

  11. Remove the radiator outlet pipe.
  12. Remove the oil pan-to-transmission nut and bolts.
  13. Remove the oil pan-to-transmission stud for clearance.
  14. Remove the oil pan bolts.
  15. Remove the oil pan.
