Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Pontiac Sunfire and 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the tensioner and bolts. Tighten the drive belt tensioner bolts to 50 N.m (37 ft lbs).
  2. Install the A/C compressor.
  3. Install the A/C compressor mounting bolts. Tighten the bolts to 54 N.m (40 ft lbs).
  4. Lower the vehicle.
  5. Install the generator assembly.
  6. Install the drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement .
